ROOM 4 - The Organic Room: F. L. Wright

Room number 4 is the largest room available and the only one which can comfortably accommodate 3 guests. On entering, you step into a small hall, where to the right you will find a crystal glass door which hides the W.C. Facing the hall is a double window which has a view of the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria Major. The main area of this suite lies in front and is more than 20 metres in size - an ideal living and sleeping space. The spacious Kingsize bed has been placed in the middle of the room and on the right is the sink basin and the open-planned hydro-massage bath, which seamlessly merges into the corner of the room. On the opposite wall is the cleverly hidden foldable bed to accommodate a third person if necessary; to save space this neatly and conveniently folds away into the wall.

Please note that the hydro-massage bath and overhead shower are open-planned and therefore this room is mostly suitable for couples. Please see the photos for further information.

Architect's Conception: An environment like "a shelter, a covered place, where the human animal can crawl to safety. Here it can securely huddle up and relax, like an animal in its burrow". (S. Giedion - von B. Zevi, Storia dell'architettura moderna, Turin 2001, Page 328). A curve that protrudes out of the floor and reflects itself on the ceiling greets the guest in the Organic Room, a space without right angles, in which the free line connects the various functions of human activity and allures a movement that flows within itself, recalling in this way, the close relationship between man and nature; a relationship consisting of symbiosis and unity. The organic curve is confronted by the geometrical wall, in an attempt to find a mediation point between the concept of functionality and that of organicity in contemporary life.
